Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026
At SeeIG.com, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Information We Collect
SeeIG.com is designed to minimize data collection. We do not require user accounts, and we do not ask for personal information.
The limited information we may collect includes:
- Log data: Basic server logs including IP address (hashed), browser type, and timestamps. This data is used only for security and rate limiting.
- Cookies: Essential cookies for site functionality and advertising cookies from our ad networks.
- Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics to help us improve the service.
How We Use Information
We use the limited data we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the service
- Prevent abuse and enforce rate limits
- Improve site performance and user experience
- Serve relevant advertisements through our ad networks
Cookies
We use cookies for three purposes:
- Essential cookies: Required for the site to function (dark mode preference, session management).
- Advertising cookies: Used by our advertising partners to show relevant ads.
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how users interact with the site.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work properly.
Third-Party Services
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies and web beacons to collect information for targeted advertising. For more information, see Google's privacy policy.
We do not share your data with any other third parties.
Data Security
We use HTTPS encryption for all connections. IP addresses are hashed before being stored. We do not store any personally identifiable information.
Children's Privacy
SeeIG.com is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
GDPR Compliance
If you're in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we may hold about you. Since we don't collect personal data, there's typically nothing to access or delete — but you can contact us at any time to confirm.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

GDPR & International Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with comprehensive data protection rights, you have specific rights regarding any personal data we process. These include the right of access (you may request a copy of the data we hold about you), the right of rectification (you may correct inaccurate data), the right of erasure (you may request deletion of your data), the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing. Because SeeIG processes very little personal data in the first place — we do not store raw IP addresses, we do not require registration, and we do not use cross-site tracking — most of these rights are satisfied by default. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address listed at the bottom of this policy.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
SeeIG uses two categories of cookies: (1) strictly necessary cookies, which remember your dark-mode preference, your daily search count for rate limiting, and your session if you log into the admin panel; and (2) analytics cookies, which Google Analytics (if enabled by the site admin) uses to measure aggregate traffic. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. You can disable all non-essential cookies in your browser settings without affecting core SeeIG functionality.
How We Store and Protect Data
Data stored on our servers is encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256. Data in transit is protected by TLS 1.3. Our infrastructure is hosted on a dedicated server with a hardened firewall, fail2ban, and automatic security patching. Admin access is gated by TOTP two-factor authentication and strong password hashing (bcrypt with high work factor). We have never had a known breach, but in the unlikely event of a material data incident, we will notify affected users within 72 hours as required by GDPR Article 33.
Children's Privacy
SeeIG is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided personal data to us, contact us and we will delete it immediately.
Third-Party Services
We may use the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy: Google Analytics (aggregate traffic metrics), Google AdSense (if advertising is enabled), and Cloudflare (for DDoS protection and CDN). None of these services receives personally identifying information from us beyond what is standard for any web request (IP address, user agent, requested URL).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
Your Rights Under CCPA (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): the right to know what categories of personal information we collect about you and the purposes for which it is used; the right to request deletion of your personal information; the right to opt out of the "sale" of personal information (we do not sell information, so this right is satisfied by default); and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. To submit a CCPA request, email us at contact@seeig.com with the subject line "CCPA Request" and include enough information for us to verify your identity.
Data Retention Periods
We retain different data for different periods. Rate-limit counters expire at midnight each day. Aggregate search statistics (counts only, never tied to an identity) are kept indefinitely for analytics. Scraper logs are rotated after 30 days. Admin session cookies expire after 24 hours of inactivity. If you contact us via email, we retain your email in our support inbox for up to 12 months after the conversation concludes, then delete it.
How We Handle Data Requests From Law Enforcement
We comply with valid legal process in the jurisdiction where we operate. Because we store very little personal data in the first place, the overwhelming majority of law enforcement requests can be answered with a truthful "we do not have this information." We do not voluntarily disclose user data without legal process.
